What is Siser Ttd Easy Mask Used for

Have you heard the news?!

Siser has launched a GROUNDBREAKING new HTV that makes creating custom, printed designs accessible to all of us "at home" crafters.

The best part? All you need is your photo / artwork, your everyday inkjet printer, scissors and a home iron or heat press.

Yes, it really is THAT simple!

Crafters – let's give a round of applause for Siser EasyColor DTV!

Before EasyColor DTV, printing full-color designs meant using transfer papers which, let's be honest, are not the most durable, never-mind the cracking and breaking as well as feeling stiff as a board once applied.  You also needed to invest in a large format printer and special inks, which - as we all know - can be very pricy and tricky to maintain.

EasyColor DTV is changing the game, making the personalization of soft goods as Easy as 1-2-3!

FINALLY an easy way to create full color, soft-to-the-touch, great stretch, wonderfully vibrant, printed designs from the comfort of our own home – ready in minutes.

So, let's get started!

Fire up your printer, grab some scissors and home iron and let's get crafty!

The "Nitty Gritty"

Compatible Substrates:Cotton, Polyester, Cotton/ Poly Blends.

Thickness: 100 Microns (Almost as thin as EasyWeed®!)

Application Temp: 310°F

Application Time: 15 seconds

Pressure: Medium

Peel: Hot

Can you really simply place EasyColor DTV in any inkjet printer and hit print?

YES! Simply place a sheet of EasyColor into your printer and print your photo or design.

EasyColor can be used for full color photos as well as black and white!

Do you need to mask it?

If you are printing a fine detailed design, we do recommend using Siser's TTD Easy Mask to ensure an easy transfer of all parts of your design.

TTD Easy Mask is offered in packs of 50 sheets on our website, which you can find here.

If your design is a larger print, masking is not needed– you can peel it away from the carrier yourself and transfer it to your substrate.

What should you use to cut it?

With EasyColor DTV, you can use scissors to cut your photo or design! A rotary tool or Xacto Knife will also work.

Any Craft Cutter can also be used.

In the next few weeks we'll share lots of information on the "how to".

For those familiar with cutters: all you need to do is add cropmarks to your design when you set it up.

CraftyTip! Want to give your photo a little added pizzaz?

Use scalloped scissors or a fun-shaped hole punch to cut or decorate your design!

The Three P's – Print, Peel, PRESS!

Once your design or photo is printed, cut and peeled away from the carrier, it is time to press!

CraftyTip! Is your photo curling up before pressing?

Heat up your lower platen or ironing board, and lay your photo or design on top for a few seconds.

The heat will help relax EasyColor and flatten out your image for your final application!

Pre- heat your garmet, then, following the application settings, press your EasyColor DTV image for 15 seconds.

Don't forget your cover sheet!

And just like that, you've created a beautifully, personalized project that is ready to go in under 15 minutes!

Told you it was magic ;)

BONUS TRICK

Good-bye cracked edges!

The stretch and rebound of this vinyl is like no other inkjet material we've ever laid our hands on: if your design gets stretched out on your substrate, wash and dry it and the design will bounce right back into its original shape!

Before we Sign-Off:

We are incredibly excited about the launch of this material, and we know you will be too.

Pay close attention to our Facebook page this month: Taylor will be going live each week to discuss all things EasyColor DTV!

There are SO MANY things to explain and share about this game-changing vinyl, we decided to dedicate an entire month to it!
